Do you use my data to train your models?
No. Abstractive Health does not use protected health information (PHI) or identifiable patient data from your practice to train its AI models. The technology was built on a foundation of over 10,000 patient charts in partnership with Weill Cornell Medicine, but once deployed, your specific patient data remains private and is used solely to generate summaries for your clinical use.
Can I edit or verify AI-generated summaries?
Yes. Verification is a core feature of the platform. Every sentence in an AI-generated summary includes sentence-level source links (provenance). This allows you to click any part of the summary and immediately see the original clinical note it was pulled from. This "trust but verify" approach ensures full transparency and allows you to confirm the accuracy of the information against the source records.
Are summaries formatted for clinical documentation?
Yes. The summaries are designed to be clinically relevant narratives rather than just bulleted lists. They are organized through a pipeline that highlights essential categories such as diagnoses, medications, allergies, hospitalizations, and recent visits. Because the platform integrates with major EHRs (like Practice Fusion and Athena) via SMART on FHIR, these insights are delivered in a structured format that fits directly into your existing clinical workflow.
How quickly can summaries be generated?
Summaries are generated within minutes. Because the AI works in tandem with the record retrieval engine, the entire process from searching the national health exchanges to producing a finished, longitudinal summary is able to be completed before the clinician enters the exam room. For high volume practices, these can also be batch processed in advance of a day's schedule.
